2017 English Coordinators' Conference

This conference has been designed to meet the wide and varied needs of English leaders at work in a range of Victorian schools. The aim is to provide you with a rich and lively program that offers practical as well as thought-provoking sessions that will inspire and re-energise you and your teams. It is the hope that you will return to your faculties/departments with up-to-date and accurate information, new and innovative ideas, and a fresh approach to your leadership. 

The majority of the presenters are practising teachers who are keen to share their ideas, expertise and passion for English.

Sessions include: Getting it together: A Guide for inexperienced English Faculty Coordinators; Targeting school improvement; strategies for teaching EAL students in mainstream classrooms, Ways to embed the teaching of grammar in English classes; Reading as an imaginative act.


When you book below, everyone attends the first session (KEYNOTE), so this is not listed. Please make your workshop selections for following sessions.

Note: Phone booking is available, but will incur a $20 booking fee per individual.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations must be received at the VATE office in writing.
Cancellations received between 5 and 3 working days prior to the event date will be charged a 15% cancellation fee. Cancellations received less than 2 working days prior to the event will receive NO REFUND. If you do not attend and have not notified the office in writing according to the above policy, you will receive no refund.
